Who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters.

Seriously. Try not to say "Ghostbusters" when someone says anything remotely like that.

My cat likes spinach*

On the drive home tonight I was trying to think of entertaining blog topics, but work has been crazy and I've been blue... neither of which are interesting to write about. I stopped at the grocery store and bought a bunch of packaged food and mindlessly arrived at my building. What should I write about? Is there anything interesting about what I bought at the grocery store other than I'm too lazy to cook which is never a good sign because I love to cook? What about my new coat? I really love it, but can I squeeze out a witty or deep thought?

The elevator opened at my floor and the cat on a leash tried to escape as I exited.

It goes "ding" when there's stuff

When the 10th Doctor gets super excited about something I want to hump his leg. I don't know why someone else's excitement gets me going, but it does. WC talking about Tough Mudder? I want him to not run through fields of live electrical wires, but he gets so excited that all I can say is "RUN, MY FRIEND! RUN!"

Mouth? Meet foot.

After 35 years of living with my mouth, (and I'm told I was born talking) you'd think I'd be better at knowing when to shut it. But the truth is that I think I'm getting worse.

Good Luck
A coworker's mother passed away recently. She and her mother were very close and she was devastated. She kept coming to work, though, because it would keep her mind off things.

The day of the wake, I stopped by her desk to mention I was planning to be at the funeral the following day but wouldn't make it that evening. Here's what came out of my mouth: "So, yeah, good lu... um... I mean, that I hope it's ni... um....yeah... I don't know the right things to say about a wake and a funeral so I'm sorry." Luckily she knows me well enough to not hate my guts for being an idiot, but really? Who wishes someone good luck on their mother's funeral. Oh, I do!

Right Now

One of my biggest issues with dating has been finding the balance between enjoying the current moment and trying to guess, plan, or avoid the future of the relationship. My tendencies to sabotage come from this.  My last relationship, dubbed "The Burning Building" because of my total disregard for red flags, is representative of my opposite tendency which is to close my eyes and run head first into a disaster.
